This is Max with a serious-but-useful sniff: carbon monoxide is invisible, sneaky, and absolutely not invited into any pack house.

I can detect cheese under a closed door, but even I cannot smell carbon monoxide. That means alarms get the hero cape here, not noses.

Check carbon monoxide detectors, replace batteries, and make sure pets are included in emergency plans. A working alarm protects every heartbeat in the house.
