A Dog Named Max publishes personal journal entries, practical dog-life guides, hands-on reviews, and selected dog news. Max is the storytelling voice; Max’s humans maintain the site and are responsible for what is published.

Sources

For factual guidance, we aim to link the original source and prefer veterinary organizations, government agencies, veterinary schools, rescue organizations, public records, and peer-reviewed research. A linked news report may explain what happened; it does not replace expert safety guidance.

Health and safety

Health and safety articles provide general education, not veterinary advice. Serious claims should be supported by an authoritative source. Readers should contact their own veterinarian for diagnosis, treatment, medication, or urgent care.

Reviews and independence

Reviews should explain what was tested, for how long, and whether the item was purchased, gifted, sponsored, or affiliate-linked. Payment or a free product does not buy a positive conclusion. Material relationships are disclosed on the article.

AI assistance

AI tools may assist with planning, research organization, drafting, or layout. AI is not treated as a source. Max’s first-person narration is creative storytelling, and the site’s humans remain responsible for publication, source links, and corrections. Synthetic or materially AI-altered editorial images should be labeled.

Updates and corrections
