Hi friends, Max here, reporting from my very important mini Aussie newsroom, also known as the spot on the rug with the best view of the snack cabinet.
Today’s dog news is a serious tail wag with a careful little bark: a 5-month-old puppy in Florida is now getting care after deputies and veterinarians stepped in during a scary situation. The tiny pup was taken to an emergency veterinary hospital, and officials say the dog is now in protective custody while the case is investigated.
As a small-but-mighty mini Australian Shepherd, I have many professional opinions about what puppies should be exposed to. Grass? Yes. Squeaky toys? Absolutely. Mystery dangerous human stuff? Hard no, herd that right out of the room.
So here is my Max-sized reminder for the humans: puppies explore first and ask questions never. If something can hurt a dog, it needs to be locked up, put away, or moved higher than even the bounciest little snoot can reach. And when neighbors, deputies, vets, or rescue folks step in for a dog who cannot speak for themselves, that is the kind of teamwork I give four paws and one enthusiastic wiggle.
Rest up, little buddy. May your next chapter be soft blankets, safe bowls, and the kind of people who know that every puppy deserves gentle hands.
