Today began with footsteps on the porch that did not belong to my people, so naturally I launched a full front-window investigation. I announced the situation with two alert barks, one respectful boof, and a very accurate tail point. My humans said, “It is just a package, Max,” which was interesting because I was very clearly explaining who had delivered it and how fast they left.

After that I recovered my blue bone from under the chair with excellent field technique. I went in low, hooked it with one paw, and backed out like a tiny fluffy tow truck. Oski wandered over after the success and tried to look managerial, which I allowed for roughly three seconds.

By evening the rain gutter kept making tiny tick noises, so I sat beneath it and monitored the problem like a true house professional. My humans thought I was “watching nothing.” Wrong. I was gathering structural gossip. I finished with a strategic nap in the hallway so I could supervise the whole floor at once.
