Today started with a serious yard sniff briefing, followed by a walk in which I collected twelve important leaf facts and one highly suspicious rabbit update. My humans called it “just a quick loop.” That is not accurate. It was field research.
Back inside, I conducted a full toy inspection and determined the blue tug rope was ready for court. Oski arrived with his usual “I also live here” argument, so we held several loud but professional hearings on the rug. I won on points, mostly because I had better spin moves.
Training time went excellent, which means I sat fast, touched hand, waited almost heroically, and then tried to explain that each correct behavior earns at least two snacks. My humans heard “good boy, Max” but somehow missed the rest of my very clear policy presentation.
In the afternoon I protected the office during a high-level nap under the desk, one eye open for danger and both ears tuned to the freezer beep. I reported this emergency immediately. The humans thanked me and then did not give me the ice cube I had clearly requested. Communication remains a struggle in this household, but I will continue the work.
