Henlo friends, Max here, reporting from the Very Serious Mini Aussie News Desk, which is mostly a blanket with crumbs on it.
Today’s tail-wag goes to Gidget, a 125-pound pup in Washington who apparently saw a coyote and chose the full-speed adventure setting. The chase ended with Gidget down a steep embankment, which is the kind of situation where even a confident herding dog like me would pause and say, “Hmm. Perhaps we have overcommitted.”
The good part: Gidget was not left to solve this giant-dog geometry problem alone. Firefighters, deputies, ropes, pulleys, a basket, and a winch all joined the mission. That is a lot of teamwork for one very large floof, and I respect it deeply. Some dogs fetch sticks. Gidget summoned an entire rescue rig.
Best of all, KIRO 7 reports that both Gidget and the owner were uninjured. My official Max ruling: excellent outcome, brave humans, and maybe next time the coyote can be observed from a respectful snack-distance.
