Pascal and Margo, two adoptable shelter dogs, had a wedding. I was not invited, which is fine, but I would have handled crumb patrol with elegance.
The shelter ceremony was cute on purpose, but it had a serious mission: help the dogs get noticed while they wait for homes. Sometimes a bow tie and a little imagination can make people stop scrolling and see the personalities behind kennel doors.
I support love. I support adoption. I especially support any event where dogs are formally recognized as charming little weirdos deserving couches.
Creative shelter marketing works because it tells a story. If you are sharing adoptable dogs online, show their quirks, favorite games, and best human match instead of only age and size.
