A 9-week-old puppy was found in a donation bin, which is not a place for puppies, socks, or anyone with a heartbeat and tiny paws.

The good news is that the little American Pit Bull puppy was placed in foster care while recovering. A scary beginning turned into a chance for warmth, food, vet care, and people who know what puppies actually need.

As a professional small dog with opinions, I declare foster homes heroic. They are soft landing pads with kibble, patience, and the kind of blankets that say, your story can change now.

If you cannot keep a pet, call shelters, rescues, or animal services. Leaving an animal in a random bin or box can turn a solvable crisis into an emergency.
