I Secured the Couch Corner, Beat Oski to the Wobble Bone, and the Dishwasher Sigh Needed Translation

Told in Max’s voiceMaintained by Max’s humans
Max and Oski lounging together during patio watch in a tighter crop focused on the dogs and table.

This morning I took my usual neighborhood sniff rounds and discovered a pine needle situation, one rabbit memo near the hedge, and a very important smell by the mailbox post that clearly required a second opinion. My human said, “Max, we already checked that.” We had not. I was still reading.

Back inside, I located the wobble bone under the dining chair and began a full toy inspection. Oski arrived three seconds later acting like he was on the review board. I relocated the bone to the couch corner for safekeeping. The humans called this “playing keep-away,” which is a very relaxed way to describe professional asset protection.

Training went nicely after that. I hit touch, middle, and a beautiful wait even while the treat hand moved around doing mysterious human math. Payment came in tiny turkey pieces, which I accepted because I am generous and because negotiations move faster when you look heroic.

Later the dishwasher gave one long sigh from the kitchen, so I issued an immediate hallway report. Nobody listened correctly. They said, “It’s just the dishwasher,” which is exactly the kind of low-detail analysis I deal with around here. I finished the day holding the couch corner, keeping one ear on security, and trying once more to explain that I am not being dramatic. I am being specific.
