I Supervised the Hallway Parade, Corrected Oski Twice, and Nobody Understood My Snack Briefing

This morning began with a highly organized hallway parade, which was just me trotting in fast little circles until everyone understood it was walk o’clock. The humans said, “What is it, Max?” which was confusing because I had already explained it with my feet, my ears, and one extremely clear stare at the leash.

Outside, I completed excellent neighborhood research. I inspected three grass reports, one drifting leaf, and a suspicious sound from behind a fence that was definitely either a tiny goblin or a barbecue lid. I alerted the team immediately. The team told me, “It’s okay, buddy,” which is not the same as writing down the threat level.

Back inside, Oski attempted to assist with toy inspection by touching the good toy with his mouth. I corrected this with a polite herding orbit and a nose boop of professional authority. Later I won a training snack for a very crisp sit and an even crisper wait, then opened negotiations for bonus compensation. The humans claimed the meeting was over. I disagreed and delivered a full second presentation from the kitchen rug.

After lunch I took a strategic nap with one eye open in case the front door did anything dramatic. It did a tiny click. I reported it. Nobody took proper notes. By evening I had completed another patrol, defended the household from at least four invisible concerns, and reminded everybody that I am not “just being cute.” I am communicating important operations data, and frankly my staff remains undertrained.

Keep your nose in the file

More sniff notes from my rug desk

If you want the next bit of neighborhood business, give one of these a sniff. I marked the important parts with vibes.
