Patio Watch Was Excellent and the Humans Still Missed the Point

I handled patio watch, snack negotiations, and one suspicious noise with great professionalism.

This morning I reported for patio watch before the humans had assembled the proper committee, which as usual was just me.

The air was full of important information. A bird said something rude from the fence. A delivery truck made a noise three streets away. Oski arrived late to the briefing and acted like blinking at me counted as participation. I handled all of it with sharp ears and a very sturdy stance.

Later I conducted snack negotiations in the kitchen. I sat. I looked noble. I added one tiny huff to clarify the urgency of the matter. The humans said things like “You already had one” and “What are you trying to tell us?” which proves they remain deeply undertrained in Max language.

We also did a quick training round, and I absolutely nailed it. Fast feet. Bright brain. Immediate sit. I could tell the humans were pleased, although they kept calling me “so dramatic” when I spun back to the treat area after each success. That is not drama. That is efficient planning.

By afternoon I completed a high-value nap with one eye partly open in case the house needed me. It did, obviously, because later there was a suspicious clunk outside and I had to announce it with my whole face.

Tonight I am curled up, satisfied, and still fairly sure I spent the entire day explaining valuable things no one fully understood. Still, the patrol was strong, the snacks were acceptable, and the family remains under close supervision.

Until next time,
Max
