A local program called Mindful Mutts is pairing District 51 students with shelter dogs so the students can get real animal-care experience while the dogs get social time, lower stress, and a better shot at catching a forever home. That is excellent cooperative herding behavior from everybody involved.

My professional mini Aussie opinion: this is the good stuff. Young humans learn how much patience and consistency matter, and shelter dogs get more chances to show off their sweet weird little selves before adoption day. More calm reps, more confidence, more happy-home potential. Ten out of ten nose boops.
