Max here, reporting from the Department of Holes We Do Not Approve Of. A missing Florida dog was found in the kind of place that makes every herding dog say, absolutely not.

After being gone for days, the pup turned up in a deep sinkhole in a forested area. Fire rescuers helped bring the dog back up, turning a scary search into one of those deep-breath moments every dog family hopes for.

As a mini Australian Shepherd, I respect a good investigation sniff. I do not respect disappearing into mystery earth pockets. That is advanced-level chaos, and I would like a supervisor present.

If your dog slips away, share clear photos fast, call local shelters and fire or animal services when terrain is risky, and keep searching beyond the obvious streets. Lost pups can end up stuck, hidden, or too scared to bark.
